Readers Betting on new Harry Potterīs book
Readers Betting on Dumbledore Death in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
After JK Rowling announced that we could again expect a major character in the Potter series to die, betting soon began with different odds on each character.

First off, you would consider this betting kind of strange as some one has to know who dies, as there is no way this secret can be that covered up.

Hell, JK Rowling must of told some one. Well, maybe she has or maybe she hasn't, but this may be the first Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince spoiler [may want to stop now, but not nearly official].

It aroused attention when the area of Bungay in Suffolk [where the Harry Potter books are expected to be printed] had a sudden surge of bets that Professor Dumbledore was the one to kick the bucket in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Now, I don't know what is more alarming-- the fact that the sudden surge of betting occurred, the fact that the betting was temporarily closed due to this disturbing change, or the fact that people are simply betting on this book.

So, has the plot to HBP been leaked, was this just a rumor that caught hold, or does eating cheese in the morning make you want to bet on the death of Dumbledore? As of now, all of these possibilities are just as likely as the other.

The betting quickly resumed and Bloomsbury [Potter publishers] are notifying readers to take the latest rumor 'with a pinch of salt'.

On the other hand, if this is true, I have to applaud JK Rowling for taking what some could call the biggest risk in this entire Potter series.

The only thing that sucks is that Dumbledore will be a major loss to the Harry Potter books if he does in fact die. Maybe he can come back in spirit?
