Potawatomi casino now managed by tribe
The casino reopened this week
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Casino located in Kansas was reopened this week with a big ceremony. The Indian casino opened in 1996 and since 1998 until now it had been under the administration of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. As of now, the tribe has complete control over the gambling venue and is in charge of its management.

“We have come a long way since opening this casino,” tribal chairwoman Tracy Stanhoff said. “Today we say farewell to the past and begin a new and exciting journey, yet another important step along our Nation’s continued path to toward economic self-sufficiency.”

Stanhoff also explained that tribal authorities are discussing the possibility of adding shops to the complex and moving the tribe’s bingo parlor inside the main building. Also, in order to attract punters, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Casino has launched the “Superstrike Mystery Jackpot” that will give out about $140,000 in prizes.

In order to take part in the game, players have to buy casino player’s club cards and they will be eligible to win jackpots that go from $25 to $500.
