Due to the suspension of their activities in the USA
The Austrian sports betting site on the Internet Bwin, one of the leaders of the sector in Europe, registered, last year, losses for 539.6 million euros, as it has informed the company in Vienna.
According to the company, which quotes in the Vienna Stock, losses are due to the judicial suspension of their activities in the United States, which cost them around 515 million euros in the fourth semester of last year.
During year 2005, the company Bwin, which sponsors many famous soccer teams from all over Europe, registered incomes for over 6.4 million euros, that is why it is so clear the reason of the drop in their gaining.
On another subject, the company has announced that, because of the change in the Turkish legislation in relation to sports bets, they have decided to withdraw their activities from the mentioned country.
